Liviu Dragnea, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) rulling party leaves the headquarters of the National Anticorruption Department (DNA) after he attended a hearing in Bucharest April 27, 2018.
Dragnea has been criticised for attempting to modify anti-corruption legislation to lighten his criminal record and remove obstacles blocking his entry into government. Dragnea is also suspected of embezzling European funds in another investigation and his assets have been frozen.
