I hate to rain on your “Fifth International” parade, but it should be asked whether this “Federation of the Global South” wouldn’t play exactly into the hands of imperialism. The “Balkans” denotes a “translation” of the claim to a former imperial province, around the Ottoman Rumelia. The decentralization of the Balkans was a project of western imperialism since the 19th century up to present times. Therefore, this idea of an anti-imperialist federation which nevertheless remains decentralized becomes really problematic. You can’t have Kosovo without NATO.

The main struggle is to be fought against finance capital. Presently, the accumulation and concentration of capital, mainly in this gambled form, is reaching unprecedented levels. Hilferding’s recommendation, more than a hundred years ago, that taking control of a handful of banks must become the main revolutionary goal after seizing power, has today become a necessity. This task requires centralization. Sadly, the sole mobilization towards such a direction came from the right. The true elephant in the room is therefore Hungary. Notice that in the Main Event with Zizek (who has hopes for SYRIZA becoming the dream of capitalists), Tsipras avoids talking about the need to nationalize the so-called “national” bank:
